AGENCY CHAPTER SERVICE AWARD

Purpose To recognize an agency that has made significant contributions to AGA

Award Plaque

Eligibility All agencies who have exhibited support for AGA

Criteria and The award is given for outstanding support provided by an agency to the Local Evaluation Chapter and or National AGA. Eligible agencies will have consistently made important contributions in support of the development and enhancement of AGA. Theses would be agencies that, for example, which have played a key role in developing innovative programs, participating and promoting significantly large agency attendance at monthly meetings, providing both agency manpower and material resources and/or substantially improving communications with the Chapter. Eligible agencies will have supported their employees participation as officers/directors; will have consistently recognized the value of the professional development and educational opportunities offered through staff participation/attendance at Chapter events.

Key Factors The awards committee will use the following criteria in ranking nominees:

* Extent of contributions to Local Chapter or National AGA

* Local Chapter or National offices Held

* Local or National Directors Positions Held

* Participation on Committees Locally or Nationally

Overview Nominations must be made by AGA members. Nominations must be submitted in writing before or on the due date. Key factors, as listed above, must be described, in specific terms, the work or contributions that justifies the nomination.

ANNUAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Purpose To accord recognition for leadership or outstanding achievement in developing, implementing, and improving financial management in government service in the past year.

Award Plaque

Eligibility The individual nominated must have been employed in government service at the time the work being recognized was performed. Nominees do not have to be members of the AGA.

Criteria Selection criteria for the award will be generally limited to achievements accomplished in the preceding calendar year.

Key Factors The awards committee will use the following criteria in ranking nominees:

* Improved management and control technique

* Individual initiative

* Results expressed in terms of savings or other benefits

Overview Nominations must be made by AGA Chapter members. Nominations must be submitted in writing before or on the due date. Key factors, as listed above, must be described, in specific terms, the work or contributions that justifies the nomination.

MEL PARTOL MEMORIAL AWARD

Purpose To recognize an individual for superior dedicated service that enhanced the Chapter.

Award Plaque

Eligibility Any AGA member of the Boston Chapter.

Criteria Superior and dedicated service will be considered on a broad basis of acts, achievements or service that enhanced the prestige of the Boston Chapter, enabled the Chapter to provide greater service to its membership, or brought a sense of continued dedication to the Boston Chapter.

Key Factors The awards committee will use the following criteria in ranking nominees:

* Enabled the Chapter to provide greater service

* Displayed superior dedication and commitment to the Chapter

* Brought honor or recognition to the Chapter

Overview Nominations must be made by AGA Chapter members. Nominations must be submitted in writing before or on the due date. Key factors, as listed above, must be described, in specific terms, the work or contributions that justifies the nomination.

COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD

Purpose   To annually recognize an AGA – Boston Chapter member who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to volunteer community service by participating in a volunteer community service project or projects.

Award   Plaque presented at the Boston Chapter Annual Awards Dinner

Eligibility   Current AGA – Boston Chapter member. 

Criteria  Superior and dedicated volunteer community service will be considered on a broad basis of acts, achievements or service. 

Key Factors    The awards committee will use the following criteria in ranking nominees:

* Displayed superior dedication and commitment to volunteer community service project or projects.
 
* Brought honor or recognition to the Chapter.

Overview   Nominations must be made by an AGA - Boston Chapter member.  Nominations must be submitted in writing before or on the established current fiscal year due date.  Key factors, as listed above, must be described in specific terms and the work or contributions that justify the nomination.
